As my first reaction for any big spending other than airline or something I potentially return I will always reach out to other “catch all” cards instead of plat

Hi Simon. Love your content, but this guys a typical agent with this high and mighty mentality. I’m a Realestate developer. In LA specializing in high end residential. These guys don’t understand that they’re not the one driving up the price. The market dictates it. If there is a bidding war, it’s not because he’s a guru. It’s simply two sophisticated buyers (at this price point) that see value in paying over asking. In this day and age with Zillow and Redfin, it’s the buyer finding properties in the zip codes they are wanting to buy in. What’s this guy bringing to the table!? Other than the standard issued Hermes “H” belt all agents in LA wear. Hosting BS club like parties. If you really have balls, developed these properties. Invest millions. hedge that you will turn a profit in this volatile climate. Not cash in on almost a six figure commission!

I agree there are a lot of problems but just the other day I was San Francisco and I couldn’t believe how clean the streets were. They are definitely doing a lot to turn things around

Visited San Francisco a few years back with the family. It was eye opening to say the least. Shared at the Hilton union square. Safe to say we shall not be back.

So i applied for the Green card over a month ago , Got approved but i did over stated my annual income but i spend about $500/$600 month so far but pay off full before ever statement, Should i call to cancel card or give them correct the issues??😢

AMEX wasn't like that in 80s ( my time). If you carry a Gold AMEX, Platinum AMEX (Unlimited - No Cap ) considered you are made. Now a day Amex approved cards to all sort of people ( not that i am being a jerk). Perhaps, they have changed for worse?

Kind of misplaced to have a full video dedicated to a lounge you’ve never been to. I’m a Centurion and have been there. It’s very nice, with very upscale rooms and bars, and the reason it’s in a building is because the views of the city are insane from the club. Very disappointing video as it makes you seem uninformed.

I’ve had the Centurion Card form the first year it was released. In the very early days, it garnered some attention. These days none. And with Apple Wallet, I rarely use physical cards anyway. It never garnered attention where I’ve had my primary home - Manhattan. Once I got a reaction from a hotel in Ohio lol So truly not sure where you are that you are getting these reactions. I’ve used it in all the boutiques you mention - no one cares.

I’ve never had a review, my highest monthly balance was around 120k…large purchases are common for me, it goes without saying that I’ve never carried over a balance. My only mishaps was a payment posting 2days after the due date and receiving a late payment fee. This only occurred once, but I was modified. Luckily the balance was only around 35k. I typically average 40k -70k monthly. According to this video I should have been reviewed multiple times over. I’m not the person that charges the purchase of a vehicle or anything like that. But I’ll often spend 20-50k in a month at designer boutiques, 20-50k on a quick trip, and I collect vintage Rolexs’ I only have two cards a business and personal platinum. I’m curious as to why I’ve never had an issue. i’ve only been with Amax for a year. possibly my spending habits were clearly establish from the start. Though I’ve never tried a single 6figure item. The most I’ve charged on the individual item was 90k for a grand piano. I’m really enjoying my experience with American Express so far, I’ve accumulate tons of points and benefits that I haven’t even began to utilize because I haven’t learned the details. Points do seem to add up very quickly, I was brooking 4 cross country first class flights for my family, completely paid for with points and I literally had a few hundred thousand points to spare. Maybe one day I’ll receive an invite to apply for the next card, from what I can tell, for me, it would make sense Possibly, they just monitor the Centurion a little more closely given the status and exclusivity increasing the likelihood of theft or fraud.

Did you intentionally put the titles at 410K as opposed to 401k?
